CHANDLER, Ariz. – As part of the City’s upcoming 100
th birthday celebration, the Centennial Steering Committee is seeking the public's support and assistance in identifying and honoring Chandler’s 2012 centenarians.

To be recognized as a Chandler Centenarian, the person's primary residence must be within Chandler and he or she must be 100 years of age or older from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. Anyone meeting this guideline is eligible to be bestowed recognition and honored at a special event that will be held during the Centennial festivities in spring 2012.

Chandler centenarians may also be interviewed by Centennial Committee volunteers and have their biographical stories and photos published in newsletters, event programs and on the Centennial website at
www.chandler100th.com.

Applications are online at
www.chandler100th.com and can be submitted by the individuals themselves or by a family member, friend or caretaker. The application must be submitted no less than two months prior to the honoree's birthday.
