Chandler Fire Department collecting holiday toys for local
children
CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Chandler Fire Department’s annual Holiday
Toy Drive returns this year to Chandler Fashion Center from 2 to 8 p.m. on
Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in a community-wide effort to provide thousands of
disadvantaged children with a happier holiday.
Anyone who donates a new,
unwrapped toy at the Mall event will receive a ride in a Chandler fire engine.
An adult must accompany all children 6 years of age and younger. The Fire
Department also requests that donated toys not be battery operated.
The toy collection point at
Chandler Fashion Center is near the valet parking area outside of the food
court on the south side of the mall. Fire Department mascots will be at the
mall, along with Sprinkler the Clown, and performances by the City of Chandler
Holiday Carolers.
Chandler Fire will
deliver all donated toys to the Chandler CARE Center for disadvantaged
children who have been identified through the staff at each Chandler Unified
School District elementary school.
Toy donations can also be dropped off in the lobby of the Fire
Administration Headquarters at 151 E. Boston Street through December 13 or at
any of our local Chandler fire stations.

Department, visit www.chandleraz.gov/fire.
