Economic Update on June 26

The Chandler Chamber will host an Economic Update on Wednesday, June 26 at 11:30 a.m. The event will be held at Ocotillo Golf Resort, located at 3751 South Clubhouse Dr.

The event will feature speakers Doug Ducey, Arizona State Treasurer and Christine Mackay, Economic Development Director. Their topic will be "Aviation and Fueling Arizona's Economy."

Doug Ducey was elected to his first term as Arizona State Treasurer on November 2, 2010. He took office January 3, 2011 as Arizona’s 32nd State Treasurer. As Arizona’s Chief Banker and Investment Officer, Treasurer Ducey oversees more than $11.8 billion in state assets and serves as an investment manager for local governments. Treasurer Ducey also serves as the Chairman of Arizona’s State Board of Investment and State Loan Commission. He also serves as the State’s Surveyor General and is a member of the State Land Selection Board.

Christine Mackay has been with the City of Chandler for the past 14 years as a member of the Economic Development team. During the past five years she has helped located or expand more than 150 companies in Chandler, brought 21,000 jobs to the city, added more than 6 million square feet to the industrial/office base and has brought more than $8.9 billion in capital investment in to the community.
