Communications Coordinator

Job Description: The primary goal is to market the Chamber, its events, and accomplishments as best as possible. The communications coordinator will design promotional items (i.e. advertising, brochures, magazines, flyers, etc.) write the Newsletter (monthly) and E-Newsletter (weekly), update the website, social media, press releases, and other projects as assigned.  
The Communications Coordinator should have experience in:
  • Designing creative promo items in a timely matter (i.e. advertising, brochures, magazines, flyers, etc.) with Adobe Suite: i.e., Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Promoting events and accomplishments through social media and press releases.
  • Writing content and designing Newsletters on a tight deadline.
  • Driving attendance to events with press releases, ad’s, social media, etc.
  • Increasing likes/followers on Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Meetup, Pinterest, Instagram, and all other social media sites.
  • Adhering to budgets.
  • Ability to handle marketing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to attend events, and take pictures.
  • Other projects as assigned.
Hours: Full-Time must be willing to work events after hours and on weekends occasionally.

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), short and long term disability, educational reimbursement, paid holidays and vacation.
