APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 2011 WHEN WORK WORKS ARIZONA ALFRED P. SLOAN AWARD

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce understands that we must adapt our workplace to accommodate a multi-generational workforce with single parent or sole earner households- where workers struggle with significant care giving and financial responsibilities for children and aging parents. Chandler Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the When Work Works Arizona Alfred P. Sloan Launch Breakfast & Forum launching into the 2011 annual kick off celebration on
March 17, 2011 from 7:30a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix-Chandler, 7475 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226  Guest Speaker: Carl Erickson, Executive Council Member of AARP Arizona.

Winners will be announced on August 18th, 2011 at the When Work Works Awards Ceremony. This state wide initiative is with the support of our Arizona partners: Intel Corporation, BobCat Studios, US Chamber of Commerce, the US Department of Labor and Women's Bureau, Institute for Competitive Workforce, the TWIGA Foundation, the Arizona Governor's Office on a Mature Workforce/Aging, AARP Arizona and Chambers of Commerce across Arizona.

We encourage our business community and Chamber members to attend the launch of Arizona's Campaign to promote flexibility in the workplace and explore the many critical and positive implications workplace flexibly will have on our future workforces, our environment, our business bottom line and our workforces' health and well-being.
