There are still seats available for the Education Forum!Come learn about the progress that has been made in Arizona's education systems! The Superintendent of Public Instruction, John Huppenthal, will be speaking on key issues and strengths of today's education in Arizona. Huppenthal will lead the discussion, but will also be accompanied by Dr. Camille Casteel, Dr. David Schauer, Dr. Kenneth Baca and Dr. Kristofer Sippel. The Education Forum will take place on August 28th from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at 63 E. Boston St. Chandler, AZ 85225. The fee is $20 for members and $35 for non-members. No refunds 72 hours prior to the event.

The Chandler Chamber is Looking for Marketing and Communications Interns!

The Chandler Chamber is looking for Marketing and Communications interns! We are looking for interns who will familiarize themselves with the Chamber, and be involved in the research and analysis of strategic communications for the Chamber.

Duties may include:
  • Designing and conducting surveys and polls related to market research
  • Analyzing the data and reporting the results of the survey
  • Writing Chandler Chamber newspaper articles for the local newspapers
  • Developing strategic suggestions with intern sponsor to improve external communications (i.e. advertising, publications, website, etc.)
  • Maintaining the Chamber media portfolio by monitoring the various media outlets for Chamber coverage.
  • Writing press releases and sending them out to our media contacts.
  • Researching targeted markets for prospects and preparing profile leads for Membership Development department
  • Assisting in other duties and projects as assigned

Desired skills and qualifications:
  • Declared major in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Market Research, Advertising or Journalism are preferred
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Able to design, conduct, analyze and report survey research
  • Familiar with all aspects of social media
  • Strong research, writing and organizational skills
  • Able to multitask and work independently

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce's Annual Golf Tournament is fast approaching! Have you gotten your team together?

The tournament benefits the Chamber's programs and events throughout the year, and also raises funds for the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation scholarship program.

The golf tournament will be September 6, 2013 from 6:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Ocotillo Golf Resort, located at 3751 S. Clubhouse Drive.

The fee is $150 for individuals and $600 for a team of four, and includes a continental breakfast before the start of the tournament. 

Come out and enjoy the "somewhat" cooling off weather with a great game of golf!

The Chandler Chamber Would Like to Welcome its New Staff Members!



Samantha Staring is a new volunteer. She just graduated high school and plans on attending NAU this fall.



Sierra Evans is special events intern. She is an Arizona Native, raised in the Paradise Valley area. She is currently living in Tempe and attending ASU. Sierra is in the W.P. Carey School of Business, with a focus on marketing and public relations. 



Bo McGlaughlin is our new membership development specialist. Bo was born in Quincy, Illinois. He graduated from Sangamon State University in 1982. He went to college on a full tennis scholarship and played in the 1982 Sugar Bowl Tennis Tournament, where he was awarded Mr. Congeniality. He also received honorable mention-All American for 2 years. He has been in sales now for 33 years and loves what he does for the Chandler Chamber.

Primavera Online Middle School Open House



Primavera Online Middle School will be holding an open house at its new, state of the art Blended Learning Center (BLC) on August 15th from 5:30-7:30pm at 2451 North Arizona Ave in Chandler.  

Come and enjoy free refreshments, entertainment and  learn more about blending the best of online and traditional education.

The Blended Learning Center delivers a rigorous curriculum that is customized to meet the specific needs of each individual child.  The Primavera BLC focuses on Common Core Standards like, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
